Jamie Vardy has been linked with a move to Feyenoord, the Dutch giants now managed by Robin van Persie, ahead of what would be his 40th season.

The former Leicester City striker is expected to leave Cremonese when his contract expires in June. Vardy turns 40 in January and finished the Serie A campaign with 7 goals and 3 assists in 29 appearances, though he couldn’t prevent Cremonese from being relegated.

According to the BBC, Vardy “is still enjoying his football” and wants to keep playing at a high level. Feyenoord under Robin van Persie are said to be among the clubs interested, with the striker also linked to the Rotterdam side last summer.

Vardy departed Leicester City last summer after 13 years at the club. His spell included the unlikely Premier League title in 2016, and he finished with 200 goals in 500 games for the Foxes, who dropped to League One after he left.
