Vandals target Midtjylland ahead of crucial derby vs Viborg FF...

FC Midtjylland’s training facility was vandalized overnight before Monday’s key Danish Superliga derby with Viborg.

The players arrived at the Ikast training ground for today’s session to find damage throughout the site. The vandalism is believed to have been carried out by Viborg FF supporters ahead of tomorrow’s matchup.

The “Dream 99” building was covered in green paint, and FC Midtjylland’s motto “Those who give up getting better, stop being good” was also painted over in green, according to TV 2 Sport.

On the building that houses the players’ dressing rooms, dining area, and lounge, a wall was sprayed with messages including “Hader FCM” and “1896” in reference to Viborg FF’s founding year. The goalposts on one of the training pitches were painted green as well.

Cleanup work began this morning, and FC Midtjylland declined to comment on the incident.
