Bruno Guimaraes has been named Newcastle United’s Player of the Year for the 2025-26 season after a standout campaign.
The club captain takes home the award for the first time, following a year of key goals and influential displays across the season.
Guimaraes ended the season as Newcastle’s leading Premier League scorer with nine goals. He also created more chances than anyone in the squad, finishing with eight assists.

Even after missing 15 games through injury, the Brazilian produced several key moments. These included a late winner against Fulham and goals against Tottenham, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Leeds.
His total of 17 goal involvements matches his best return, set in the 2023-24 season.
With this award, Guimaraes joins Dan Burn, Anthony Gordon, Kieran Trippier and Joelinton as recent recipients of Newcastle’s Player of the Year honor.
