Memphis Depay wants to stay at Corinthians after the World Cup. “My priority is Corinthians period since the beginning and that goes beyond the World Cup,” he said.


He won't play Sunday's derby against Palmeiras due to a grade two thigh injury 


“I pushed to play tomorrow but unfortunately it’s not possible because some errors… This is painful and frustrated.. But again the players can’t talk about it but are the one that get the blame. Wrong!” he wrote.




“You can’t just curse players out because we getting injured.. We have to look into it deeper and ask questions,” he added in the extensive post.


Memphis said setbacks during recovery kept him sidelined, forcing him to miss the big derby. He's been dealing with a grade two thigh injury.


Corinthians are struggling in the Brazilian Serie A, sitting 16th. Memphis has been out since March 23rd with a thigh injury.


He was recently warned for using his phone on the bench, but was checking in with the Dutch national team's medics about his injury.
