Phil Parkinson’s side cling to sixth, level on points with Hull with one game left...
Wrexham’s push for a playoff spot took a major hit on Sunday as they fell 3-1 to Championship winners Coventry.
Phil Parkinson’s side went behind in the 19th minute at the CBS Arena when Brandon Thomas-Asante converted from close range.
Oliver Rathbone levelled with a composed finish six minutes later.
But Victor Torp’s 80th-minute free-kick restored Coventry’s lead before Ephron Mason-Clark struck in stoppage time to wrap up their 27th win in 45 Championship games this season.
Wrexham stay sixth, holding onto the final playoff spot by the slimmest of margins.
They’re level on points with seventh-placed Hull, who lost at Charlton on Saturday, with Wrexham’s +4 goal difference just edging the Tigers’ +3.
Derby, now eighth after their win over QPR on Saturday, remain in the playoff mix and sit just one point behind Wrexham and Hull.
Wrexham welcome Middlesbrough on May 2nd for their final regular-season game, while Hull host Norwich and Derby face Sheffield United at Pride Park.
Millwall, Middlesbrough and Southampton have already secured their playoff places.
Thank you for your fantastic support on the road throughout the season.
