On-loan PSG defender handed 20-Day prison sentence for reckless driving in Copenhagen

Yoram Zague, the 19-year-old defender previously on loan from PSG to FC Copenhagen, has been sentenced to 20 days in prison after being charged with reckless driving in the Danish capital.

The ruling also carries an unconditional three-year driver’s license suspension and a warning of expulsion from Denmark.

Zague, who is now on loan at Belgian club Eupen, was accused of driving 104 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Sjaellandsbroen in Copenhagen in December 2025.

FC Copenhagen terminated Zague’s loan agreement on January 31, 2026, following the incident.

The defender played 15 matches for FC Copenhagen and scored two goals before the loan was terminated.

Yoram Zague left the courtroom quickly and declined to comment on the case. In May last year, FC Copenhagen’s Rodrigo Huecas was also convicted of reckless driving and received 20 days of unconditional imprisonment, which he served with an ankle monitor.
