Vinicius Jr ready to shine for Brazil

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr determined to replicate club success with Brazil at the World Cup. Vinicius says he's blocks out noise, focuses on leading Brazil to World Cup glory.

“I hope that everything I do for Real I can go on to do here with the Brazilian national team...”

Vinicius Jr is feeling more confident than ever and is determined to replicate his Real Madrid success with the Brazilian national team ahead of the World Cup. The 25-year-old winger has had a contrasting season, struggling early on with a 16-match goal drought and facing criticism from some Bernabeu fans.

Despite the tough start, Vinicius has turned his season around, scoring 17 goals and providing 13 assists in 43 appearances for Real Madrid. He's now focused on bringing that same success to Brazil, saying “I hope that everything I do for Real I can go on to do here with the Brazilian national team. That's my biggest goal.”

Vinicius is blocking out external noise and staying focused on his goals, saying “I know what I'm capable of and how much I've been working to be ready for the World Cup.” With Carlo Ancelotti as Brazil's coach, Vinicius is optimistic about their chances, praising Ancelotti's ability to adapt the team's style to their players.

Vinicius has put his rough patch behind him, finding his groove with 17 goals and 13 assists in 43 appearances for Real this season.

Despite his club success, including two Champions League and three LaLiga titles, Vinicius has struggled with Brazil, scoring just eight goals in 45 appearances. He's determined to make an impact at his second World Cup.

“I feel more at ease, I'm happier, and when I'm happier, everyone around me is happier and more confident too,” Vinicius ‌told reporters ahead of Thursday's friendly match against France.

“I hope that everything I do for Real I can go on to do here with the Brazilian national team. That's my biggest goal. It's where I've always dreamed of being, and I want to bring great pride to our country and a lot of joy to our entire nation.”

Brazil are looking to bounce back after a disappointing 2022 World Cup exit in Qatar, where they lost to Croatia on penalties.

Vinicius is staying focused, blocking out the external noise as the tournament nears, saying he's “blocking out everything that's going on outside”
