Real Madrid's Rodrygo faces 6-7 months out with ACL injury, missing World Cup with Brazil. Madrid also without Mbappe & Mastantuono.

Real Madrid hit hard, Rodrygo out, mbappe also injured...

Real Madrid's Rodrygo is facing a tough time - he's set to miss the World Cup with Brazil and possibly the rest of 2026 due to a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and lateral meniscus in his right knee. The injury happened during Monday's 1-0 loss to Getafe, where he played for another half hour despite showing signs of discomfort.

Rodrygo had just returned from a month-long muscle injury when he came off the bench in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, his return was cut short after a challenge on the left wing, where his leg got caught, and he immediately showed signs of pain. Despite playing on, it was clear he wasn't comfortable, and further tests confirmed the severity of the injury.

It is a seismic blow for Real Madrid, who are also missing Kylian Mbappe with a knee sprain and Franco Mastantuono, who was sent off against Getafe.

The only fit forwards left are Vinicius Junior and Gonzalo Garcia, as well as Brahim Diaz, who doesn’t seem to be in the coach’s plans.

Real Madrid's facing a tough time - they're missing Kylian Mbappe (knee sprain) and Franco Mastantuono (red card vs Getafe). Only Vinicius Junior and Gonzalo Garcia are fit, plus Brahim Diaz who's seemingly out of the coach's plans.

This forces coach Carlo Ancelotti to reshuffle – Vinicius Junior and Gonzalo Garcia will likely lead the attack, but it's a big loss without Mbappe and Mastantuono.
