Danish derby, Pentz stirs up emotions before AGF vs Brondby...

Brondby's Austrian goalkeeper Patrick Pentz has sparked controversy with a bold claim, stating that league leaders AGF isn't the best team in Denmark right now. This comes ahead of their crucial match against AGF on Sunday, which could decide the Danish title.

Pentz didn't hold back, telling the Danish media that AGF isn't the best team, despite leading the Superliga by five points over FC Midtjylland. When pressed for an explanation, he kept it brief, leaving fans and pundits wondering what sparked his confidence.

“AGF is not the best team in the Superliga for me. That is my personal opinion,” said Pentz.

“They are not the best. My argument is that AGF is not the best team. That is why I also hope that we play a good game and get three points against them. The table doesn't lie, but that doesn't change the fact that they are not the best team.”

“It's simple. They are not the best team. They are not playing well. That is my opinion. But they are leading the league and probably deserve to be there. But again: They are not the best team in the league,” said Patrick Pentz, who did not want to answer questions about who was the best team in the league if it wasn't AGF.

AGF will face Brondby at Ceres Park Vejlby on Sunday at 18.00 CET.
