Minnesota Timberwolves rally past Boston Celtics, New York Knicks beat Washington Wizards 145-113, and Nikola Jokic records 35th triple-double in Denver Nuggets' win over Portland Trail Blazers.

The Minnesota Timberwolves made a stunning comeback, overcoming a 15-point deficit in the second quarter to beat the Boston Celtics 102-92 on Sunday. Despite missing star player Anthony Edwards due to knee inflammation, Minnesota's bench players stepped up, led by Bones Hyland's 23 points and Jaden McDaniels' 19 points.


The Timberwolves' fourth-quarter magic included a decisive 16-0 run, outscoring the Celtics 26-15 and silencing the 19,156 crowd at TD Garden. Ayo Dosunmu contributed 17 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, while Rudy Gobert added nine points and 14 rebounds.


Meanwhile, Nikola Jokic recorded his 35th triple-double of the season, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 128-112 win over the Portland Trail Blazers with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists.


With Edwards missing due to right knee inflammation, Bones Hyland led Minnesota with 23 points off the bench, while Jaden McDaniels had 19 points and Ayo Dosunmu 17.




Minnesota improved to 44-28 and remain in sixth place in the Western Conference.


The New York Knicks dominated the Washington Wizards 145-113, keeping pace with the Boston Celtics in the East. Karl-Anthony Towns led the charge with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and three assists, while Jalen Brunson added 23 points.


The Knicks' win extends their streak, and they're now 47-25. Meanwhile, Washington is struggling, losing their 16th straight game, and are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference at 16-55.




Nikola Jokic recorded his 35th triple-double of the season, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 128-112 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Jokic had 22 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists, while Jamal Murray added 22 points, including four three-pointers.




The Nuggets improved to 44-28, solidifying their fifth-place spot in the Western Conference, ahead of Houston (43-27). 


Denver's win saw their top lineup start together for a change, with Cam Johnson, Aaron Gordon, and Christian Braun playing alongside Jokic and Murray. Peyton Watson also got some bench time, marking his return.


“We know we've got a good team and it's been a while since we’ve had our full team,” Watson said.


"I think when we’re healthy, nobody can beat us.”
