Doncic, the league's top scorer, was nearly unstoppable, and James' veteran brilliance was on full display. The Lakers' bench also played a crucial role, outscoring the Rockets' bench by 15 points. With this win, the Lakers solidify their position as third in the Western Conference.
“He pulled it out with big shots, big time,” James said, heaping praise on Slovenian Doncic.
“He has been doing it all year for us and he has been in great rhythm since the season started and we just try to pick him up.”

LeBron James, the all-time NBA scoring leader, put on a show.
“I didn't feel that great when I woke up or even when I got to the arena. I was pretty tired from the last game,” James said.
“But once the competitive juices get going, we got it flowing and we just tried to make a few plays.”
The Lakers (44-25) secured the season series tie-breaker against the Rockets (41-27), solidifying their third-place spot in the Western Conference.

Doncic and James were unstoppable in the first half, combining for 36 points to fuel the Lakers' 67-55 halftime lead. James was particularly dominant, scoring 18 points on 8-for-8 shooting, including four thunderous dunks - his most since 2020.
James' shooting efficiency was impressive, matching his most baskets without a miss in a half since March 2011. The Lakers looked like a force to be reckoned with at halftime.
The Rockets stormed back in the third quarter, led by Kevin Durant's 13 points, taking a 92-89 lead into the fourth. But the Lakers regrouped, with Doncic and James leading the charge. Doncic hit back-to-back threes, sandwiching lobs for dunks to James and Rui Hachimura, pushing the lead to 120-111 and putting the game out of reach.
The Rockets couldn't recover, and the Lakers sealed their seventh straight win.
“We have a lot of resilience,” James said. “Even when we went down in the second half, they made a run and took the lead. But we have guys who have been in big games before.”
