Pistons end Lakers' 9-game win streak with Jenkins' 30 points. Thunder beat 76ers 123-103, extending 12-game winning run.
Thunder roll to 12th straight win, Pistons snap Lakers' 9-game streak...
The Detroit Pistons pulled off an impressive upset, ending the Los Angeles Lakers' nine-game winning streak with a 113-110 victory on Monday. Daniss Jenkins led the charge with a career-high 30 points, including crucial baskets in the final 25 seconds to seal the win.
The highly anticipated matchup between Eastern Conference leaders Detroit and the in-form Lakers didn't disappoint, with Los Angeles staging a remarkable comeback from a 16-point deficit in the second half. Jenkins' standout performance, paired with Jalen Duren's 20 points and 11 rebounds, proved too much for the Lakers, despite Luka Doncic's 32 points and Austin Reaves' 24 points.
Austin Reaves gave the Lakers a 110-109 lead with 30 seconds left on a floating jump shot, but Daniss Jenkins scored Detroit's final four points, securing a hard-earned win for the Pistons. Jenkins' clutch performance included a game-winning jumper over Reaves, contributing to his career-high 30 points, eight assists, and four rebounds.
Luka Doncic's last-gasp three-pointer fell just short, denying his team a chance at overtime. The Mavericks' star finished with 32 points, but it wasn't enough to secure the win.
Detroit's struggles continued without Cade Cunningham, who's out indefinitely with a collapsed lung. The Pistons relied on others to step up, and they did: Killian Jenkins led the charge, Jalen Duren dropped 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Duncan Robinson added 12 points off the bench.
“I'm no longer surprised,” Pistons coach JB Bickerstaff said of Jenkins. “When he's gotten the opportunity, he's delivered for us. Whether it's throughout the game or in clutch moments, he finds a way to impact winning. He deserves a lot of credit tonight.”

The Lakers will head to Indiana to face the Pacers on Wednesday, wrapping up their six-game road trip before heading back to California. Doncic's 32 points were nicely complemented by Austin Reaves' 24 points - a solid team effort, but not enough to get past Detroit.
LeBron James was just one rebound shy of a triple-double, putting up 12 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds. The Lakers' star player continues to make his presence felt on the court.
Detroit's win propels them further ahead in the Eastern Conference standings - they're now 52-19, five games clear of Boston (47-24). Meanwhile, the Lakers slipped to 46-26, but remain third in the Western Conference, two games ahead of Houston.
