The win was a perfect way to celebrate LeBron James' record-breaking 1,612th regular season game, with the Lakers currently third in the Western Conference with a 46-25 record.
“It was a regular prep day,” James said. “I know once I stepped on the floor that I was breaking the record, and that's a pretty cool thing.

SGA Shines in Thunder's 11th Straight Win
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 40 points in a commanding Oklahoma City Thunder victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday. The reigning NBA MVP secured his seventh 40-point game of the season, helping the Thunder win 132-111 on the road.
Chet Holmgren contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Isaiah Hartenstein had a triple-double with nine points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists. The game was marred by a first-half brawl that saw four players ejected, halting play for 11 minutes.
The altercation broke out with 27 seconds left in the second quarter, just after Oklahoma City took a 68-63 lead.
Thunder forward Jaylin Williams held the ball after a basket and bumped into Washington's Justin Champagnie, sparking a confrontation. Oklahoma City's Ajay Mitchell approached Champagnie, got smacked in the face, and ignited a brawl that led to four ejections.
The altercation, which spilled into the stands, resulted in suspensions for Mitchell and Champagnie, with each player missing one game. Additionally, Williams was fined $50,000, while Cason Wallace and Anthony Gill received $35,000 fines.
Referee Nate Green tried to de-escalate the situation by pushing Champagnie back, but Mitchell continued to advance, getting pushed forward and into a camera. This sparked a chaotic brawl, with players from both teams rushing to support their teammates, resulting in a massive pileup behind the baseline.
After the officials intervened, Champagnie, Williams, Mitchell, and Thunder teammate Cason Wallace were ejected from the game. The NBA later announced that Mitchell and Champagnie would each serve a one-game suspension, while Williams was fined $50,000 and Wallace received a $35,000 fine.
Thunder coach Mark Daigneault disagreed with the ejections but praised his team's response to the brawl, saying they handled the situation well despite the setback.
“Those are emotional situations, and everybody is competitive and amped up after that,” Daigneault said. “But if you're a true competitor, you channel that into execution, and that's what I thought we did.
“We got better from that point on, which is how you have to handle those situations. I thought that was a good learning moment and good growth for us.”
Wizards coach Brian Keefe was pleased with how his team handled the confrontation, saying they responded well to the intense situation.
