Hannah Green Wins Second HSBC Women's World Championship
Australian golfer Hannah Green claims her second HSBC Women's World Championship title in Singapore, beating Auston Kim by one stroke.
“I was feeling nervous and told Jarryd a couple of times that I wasn't comfortable...”
Hannah Green has won her second Women's World Championship title. The Aussie golfer took home the trophy at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, with her husband Jarryd Felton caddying for her - and it was a winning combo.
Green, 29, shot a total of 14-under-par 274, edging out the competition by a single shot. Felton, a pro golfer himself, had only caddied for her once before this year, but their partnership paid off big time.
“It was absolutely a team effort over the last two weeks, and it's very special to share my seventh win, which is also my favourite number, with him,” she said.
“My usual caddie is applying for a green card and couldn't leave the US, so it wasn't part of the plan for the season. Luckily, my husband was able to pick up the bag for me.”
Hannah Green wasted no time taking control, opening with a birdie and surging ahead with an eagle on the par-five eighth. She turned in 33, adding birdies on 11 and 13, and was on fire... until she bogeyed 14, that is. But Green bounced back with a birdie on 15, showing her mental toughness.
Green's nerve held up despite a shaky finish - she dropped shots on 17 and 18, but her three-under-par 69 was enough to secure the win. She piped Auston Kim to take her second HSBC Women's World Championship title, adding to her 2024 win.

“I was feeling nervous and told Jarryd a couple of times that I wasn't comfortable. He reminded me to take a deep breath, have a snack or even sip some water,“ Green said.
“I haven't played with this kind of adrenaline in a long time, and we handled it really well.”
Minjee Lee finished tied for third with France's Pauline Roussin-Bouchard and America's Angel Yin, closing her round with a 72.
