FC Copenhagen has parted ways with coach Jacob Neestrup due to a disastrous run of form, leaving them at risk of relegation from the Danish Superliga. Despite currently sitting 8th, Neestrup led the club to incredible success, including two Danish championships, two Danish cup titles, and Champions League appearances.

Neestrup's tenure was marked by significant achievements, such as reaching the Champions League knockout stages and beating Manchester City in 2024. However, the team's current struggles led to the decision to mutually agree on his departure.

Neestrup expressed gratitude for the club's support, “The club has shown me trust and support all the way - probably more than most others would have received in a similar situation. It is not easy to say goodbye, but that is what is needed now, and we completely agree on that.”

FC Copenhagen is killing it under Jacob Neestrup's leadership. In just 3½ years, they've bagged 2 Danish championships, 2 Danish cup titles, and reached a third cup final. Plus, they've consistently made waves in the Champions League, qualifying every year from 2022-2026, with a highlight being the 1/8 final showdown against Manchester City in March 2024.

FC Copenhagen's focus is on survival. They're currently battling relegation and face Silkeborg on April 5 at Parken Stadium, a match that's crucial for their Superliga fate. On the other hand, they've just booked their spot in the Danish Cup final, where they'll take on FC Midtjylland later this year.
