Arsenal Women's Champions League holders are flying high after a 4-0 thrashing of OH Leuven in the first leg of their knockout play-off tie. Frida Maanum led the charge with two goals, while Olivia Smith and Alessia Russo also found the back of the net.

The Gunners dominated from start to finish, and their performance was a testament to their strength and skill. Next week's return leg at home looks like a formality, but anything can happen in football.

Real Madrid also had a thrilling match, coming from behind to win 3-2 against Paris FC. The Spanish giants are now on track for an all-Spanish quarterfinal clash with Barcelona.

Arsenal Women secured a comfortable 3-0 win against Oud-Heverlee Leuven in December, with goals from Olivia Smith and Beth Mead, and an own goal from Saar Janssen. However, this impressive victory wasn't enough to secure automatic qualification to the quarter-finals, and they'll now face Leuven again in the play-offs.

Arsenal is gearing up to face Chelsea in the quarterfinals, but they'll be missing Smith in the second leg against Leuven due to a yellow card for time wasting. Smith was substituted off for Kim Little, who marked her 400th appearance for Arsenal with a strong performance. The Gunners seem to be hitting their stride after a rocky start to the season.

Real Madrid came from behind to beat Paris FC 3-2, putting them in a strong position to reach the quarterfinals. Kaja Korosec had put Paris FC ahead, but Caroline Weir and Athenea del Castillo turned the game around before halftime.

Linda Caicedo scored a third goal for Madrid, and though Maeline Mendy pulled one back for Paris FC late on, the win gives Real Madrid the upper hand going into the second leg.

“Sometimes, you don't always get it right all throughout a season but we have learned from those moments,” Little told Disney+.

“We have built on and off the pitch to try and drive changes and ultimately what we are doing on a daily basis with the attitude and application of every staff member is showing and it's enjoyable.”
