Lazio edged Bologna 1-1 (4-2 pens) to reach Coppa Italia semis, thanks to stellar performances from Noslin and Taylor. Ivan Provedel made an early save from Santiago Castro's knuckleball, while Gustav Isaksen's effort went wide.

Lazio advanced to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia for the second time in three years after beating 2025 winners Bologna via a penalty shootout with the score 1-1 after normal time at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.

Ivan Provedel was forced into the game’s first save after 11 minutes from Santiago Castro’s knuckleball strike, shortly before Gustav Isaksen flashed wide.

Bologna's early goal was a rarity at home, and Lazio's defense was tested. The visitors pushed hard to equalize before half-time, with Pedro's lofted free-kick causing trouble, but Lukasz Skorupski saved well. Tijjani Noslin replaced Daniel Maldini, who took the free-kick, due to injury.

However, Lazio’s luck turned as Noslin then scored the equaliser early in the second half, tapping home Fisayo Dele-Bashiru’s precise cross.

Nicolo Rovella and Danilo Cataldi had further strikes that went narrowly wide, as the visitors gained some momentum back. However, they could not find another goal after 90 minutes, which meant a penalty shootout was needed to determine the winner.

Lazio took the lead in the shootout, Nuno Tavares scoring, followed by Lewis Ferguson's penalty save, giving them the upper hand. Boulaye Dia then scored, while Thijs Dallinga pulled one back for Bologna. Adam Marusic restored Lazio's two-goal lead, and Orsolini's penalty went wide, sealing the win for Lazio.

Kenneth Taylor sealed the win for Lazio, sending them through to the semis and ending Bologna's title defense at home. The winless streak for Bologna now stands at eight games (D3, L5), while Lazio extends their unbeaten away run to six games (W2, D4).
