Gabon international Denis Bouanga extends contract with LAFC until 2028, with option for 2029-2030 season, after becoming club's top scorer with 105 goals in 155 matches.

Denis Bouanga, the Gabon international and LAFC attacker, has signed a contract extension with the club, keeping him on board until 2028 with an option for the 2029-2030 season. This move locks down one of LAFC's key players, who joined the team in 2022 from AS Saint-Etienne and quickly made an impact, becoming a champion just months later.


Bouanga, 31, has been instrumental in LAFC's success, becoming the club's top scorer with 105 goals in 155 matches. He forms a deadly attacking duo with Son Heung-min, and their partnership has been crucial to LAFC's title contention. “I'm grateful to LAFC for the trust they've shown in me,” Bouanga said, expressing his commitment to the club.

Bouanga was MLS's top scorer in 2023 and forms a feared attacking duo with Son Heung-min. He's a key player for LAFC, and his consistency has been historic. “At this club, performance matters,” LAFC Co-President and General Manager John Thorrington said. “Denis has delivered at an elite level with historic consistency since the day he arrived, and he has helped us win multiple trophies.”

He's off to a great start, with a hat-trick in CONCACAF Champions Cup play and a goal and assist in LAFC's 3-0 win over Inter Miami.
