Hammarby IF signs Victor Lind from Brommapojkarna in a record-breaking transfer deal worth 2.63 million EUR.

Hammarby has set a new record in Sweden's Allsvenskan, signing Victor Lind from Brommapojkarna for a whopping 2.63 million EUR.

The 22-year-old Danish winger has joined Hammarby on a three-year deal, having impressed with 10 goals and four assists in the 2025 Allsvenskan season with Brommapojkarna. Lind previously played for FC Midtjylland before making the move.

Hammarby's deal for Victor Lind has broken the record for the biggest fee paid by a Swedish club, costing 28 million SEK (2.63 million EUR).

This deal also makes history as the largest transfer between two Swedish clubs. It tops the 26 million SEK IFK Norrkoping paid for Sead Haksabanovic from West Ham United in 2020.

While Hammarby's record signing of Victor Lind is notable, it's worth mentioning that the club's outgoing transfers have been much more lucrative. Hammarby sold Bazoumana Toure to Hoffenheim for 160 million SEK (15 million EUR) last year and Adrian Lahdo to Como for 126 million SEK earlier this month, dwarfing the 28 million SEK spent on Lind.

“Since I came to Sweden, I have always had a good feeling for Bajen,” Lind said upon completing the move. “Experiencing the supporters and the style of play that the club stands for will suit me perfectly.”

It's uncertain if Lind will play away at Orebro in Svenska Cupen on Monday, but he's expected to make his Allsvenskan debut for Hammarby on April 4th against Mjallby at home.
