Wirtz's Agent Eyes Real Madrid Move
Florian Wirtz's agent, Volker Struth, has revealed he's hoping to see the Liverpool star at Real Madrid one day. Struth had even approached Real Madrid's president, Florentino Perez, about signing Wirtz last summer, but it didn't materialize due to squad and budget constraints.
Wirtz made a significant impact at Liverpool, scoring six goals and providing eight assists in 35 appearances this season. The German midfielder joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen for £116 million last summer, making him one of the most
expensive signings in Premier League history.

Wirtz's Rise at Liverpool
Florian Wirtz has turned his Liverpool career around, silencing critics with his impressive performances. The 22-year-old German midfielder has found his groove, controlling the midfield and dictating play. This turnaround is especially notable given his initial struggles at Anfield.

Before joining Liverpool, Wirtz was on Real Madrid's radar, with the Spanish giants eager to snatch him from Bayer Leverkusen. Now, his agent Volker Struth has sparked concerns among Liverpool fans by expressing his desire to see Wirtz don the white jersey of Real Madrid. Struth revealed he even approached Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about signing Wirtz, but the timing wasn't right due to budget constraints.
“That year, it simply wasn’t the right time due to the squad and the budget. Even Real Madrid’s coffers aren’t always overflowing. But my wish remains that Florian will play there one day.
“I wasn't deeply enough involved in the offers that were on the table. My greatest wish, of course, would have been to have Florian at Real Madrid to see - and I don't think I'm alone in that.
“I also think he would be in very good hands there. He's doing quite well in Liverpool now. He's a very young player, and who knows what might happen in his career.”
Wirtz just settled into his five-year deal at Liverpool, committing to Anfield till 2030, but agent Volker Struth's Real Madrid aspirations might not sit well with Liverpool fans, especially after Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure last summer.
