Javonte Williams agrees to $24M deal with Cowboys...
The Dallas Cowboys have secured the services of running back Javonte Williams with a three-year, $24 million contract extension. Williams, who had a breakout season with 1,201 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, will now be a key player for the Cowboys for the next three years.
This move comes after Williams signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys last offseason, and he's already proven to be a valuable asset to the team. He's expected to continue being a workhorse for the Cowboys, and the team is looking to build around him.
Javonte Williams, 25, was on a one-year, $3 million deal with the Cowboys last offseason, a significant change from his first four NFL seasons with the Denver Broncos.
He bounced back with a stellar 2025 season, rushing for 1,201 yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns in 16 games, a notable improvement from the previous two seasons combined, where he had 1,287 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.
Javonte Williams' strong play helped the Cowboys rank ninth in the league in rushing offense. He averaged 125.6 yards per game and ran for 4.6 yards per carry.
