Werder Bremen's winless run in the Bundesliga now stretches to 12 games, with their last victory dating back to before this season's struggles. Bayern's dominant performance was on display from the start, with Kane converting a penalty in the 22nd minute, followed by another goal three minutes later.
Lennart Karl created space with a slick move before Niklas Stark took him down. Harry Kane stepped up, converting the penalty with his 14th spot-kick of the season.
Just three minutes later, Kane scored again - this time from open play. He pounced on a loose ball on the edge of the area, took a touch, and fired home in the corner, scoring the 500th goal of his career.
Despite having a comfortable 3-0 lead, Bayern Munich didn't let up and continued to push for more goals after the break. Luis Diaz had a chance to score, but his effort was easily saved by Werder Bremen's goalkeeper, Mio Backhaus, despite being unmarked just 12 yards from goal.
Any lingering comeback hopes for the hosts were extinguished 20 minutes from time when Leon Goretzka netted the pick of the bunch for Bayern, curling back across goal from the edge of the area and picking out the top corner.
The game was over as a contest from that point onwards, and Bayern simply toyed with Bremen in the closing stages as they were happy to keep the ball and see out a win which opened up a six-point gap at the summit once more.
Werder Bremen's struggles continue, with their winless home league run now stretching to six matches, keeping them stuck in the bottom three. With only 19 points from 21 games, they're facing a tough battle to turn their season around.
