Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stresses recent wins over Chelsea mean nothing as Premier League leaders prepare for Sunday's clash against adaptable Blues.

“What you have done two weeks or two years ago is irrelevant because every game and every context is different...”

Mikel Arteta is keeping a level head despite Arsenal's impressive record against Chelsea. The Gunners have won 10 of their last 16 matches against Chelsea, including two recent League Cup semi-final wins, but Arteta knows past performances mean nothing.

Arteta is focused on preparing his team for Chelsea's adaptable approach under manager Liam Rosenior, who has seen success with tactical changes during games. “They can change throughout the game, and they have a manager very comfortable doing that, so we are prepared for the possible scenarios we can face,” Arteta said.

Arsenal were held to a draw by 10-man Chelsea in November. Now, Liam Rosenior's Chelsea aim to keep their six-match unbeaten league run going into Sunday's game.

“We know the ‌importance of the game and the team we are going to have in front of us. We just have to prepare in the best way to earn the right to win it, as I always said,” Arteta told reporters on Friday.

“What you have done two weeks or two years ago is irrelevant because every game and every context is different, the players might change, the mood of the team might be different. We are prepared.”

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's manager, praised Chelsea's adaptability under Liam Rosenior, highlighting their ability to change tactics mid-game. Rosenior's impressive start as Chelsea manager has seen him remain unbeaten in the league so far.
