Ajax have confirmed goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros will miss the rest of the 2025/26 season after suffering a severe ACL injury in training. The 24-year-old, currently on loan from Liverpool, will undergo surgery to repair the damage.
Jaros's injury is a major blow for Ajax, who now have to rely on their remaining goalkeepers.
The Czech goalkeeper was Ajax's first-choice keeper for most of the season after joining on loan from Liverpool in the summer. He made 26 appearances in all competitions, conceding 42 goals.
Maarten Paes, the Indonesian international, is likely to take over as Ajax's number one goalkeeper. The 27-year-old joined from FC Dallas in January, and with Jaros out, he'll get his chance to shine.
