Juventus secured a 2-0 win over Pafos at the Allianz Stadium, boosting their chances of progressing from the league phase of the UEFA Champions League. The visitors, Pafos, started strong, creating early chances, including Anderson Silva's audacious back-heel that narrowly missed the post, and a reflex save from Michele Di Gregorio prevented an own goal.

Despite Pafos' strong start, Juventus took the lead in the 67th minute through Weston McKennie, who scored a stunning goal. Jonathan David doubled the lead six minutes later, securing a precious win for the Bianconeri. The victory puts Juventus on nine points, while Pafos remains on six points.

The hosts sprang into life after those two wake-up calls. Kenan Yildiz's shot from inside the box was parried away by Neofytos Michail, while Teun Koopmeiners had a free header that should've gone in.

The Cypriot champions responded well to Juventus' pressure, threatening with quick counter-attacks. Silva's shot rattled the woodwork, and Vlad Dragomir's long-range volley forced a superb save from Di Gregorio, who tipped the ball over the bar.

As halftime approached, Jonathan David had a glaring chance to put Juventus ahead, but he steered the ball wide with the goal at his mercy. The score was goalless at the break, but it was clear Pafos had caught Juventus off guard with their bold approach.

Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti brought on Francisco Conceição for the restart, and he almost broke the deadlock on the hour mark, but his close-range attempt was brilliantly saved by Michail at his near post.

Juventus finally eased the tension midway through the second half, as Cambiaso picked out Weston McKennie, who promptly rifled the ball into the top corner in emphatic fashion to give the hosts the lead.

The game was effectively over six minutes later, when Kenan Yildiz's perfectly-weighted pass found an unmarked Jonathan David, who slotted the ball past Michail to notch his second UCL goal of the season.

Juventus have risen to the top 20 in the league phase after their second UCL win in a row, and they'll face SL Benfica at home next. Pafos, despite losing, can take positives from their performance and still have a chance to advance, one point off the pace with two games remaining.
