Mason Mount played the full 90 minutes, his first since January 2023, and scored the winning goal. Fernandes highlighted Mount's work rate and ability to make a difference, saying he's proving himself as a key player for United.

“Mason is a great player,” Fernandes told BBC's Match of the Day. “His quality was never in doubt with his team-mates.
“Sometimes he struggled a bit for goals and assists and also with injuries, but when he gets his fitness, he is important.”
Mason Mount played his first full match since January 2023, marking a big milestone in his recovery. The midfielder is feeling positive, saying he's “feeling good” after completing 90 minutes against Crystal Palace.
Mount had been plagued by injuries, missing 50 games in his first two seasons with Manchester United. He suffered another knock in August, but is now back to full fitness and making an impact
“The win was massive but also, for me, to play the full game. I haven't done that in a while,” the 26-year-old told TNT.
“I have been feeling really good recently, enjoying my football. When you have days like this in front of the fans it makes it all worth it.”

Manchester United's 2-1 win at Crystal Palace lifted them to seventh place with 21 points, nine points behind leaders Arsenal. It's their second away win in 12 games, showing signs of improvement.
United host West Ham on Thursday, looking to build on their momentum and move closer to the top of the table.
