Carlo Ancelotti's Brazil Face Tough Test in World Cup 2026 Group C
Brazil drawn with Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti in World Cup 2026 Group C. Carlo Ancelotti's side face familiar foes and tough opponents in the tournament.
“We have to prepare well and try to win the group...”
Brazil's coach Carlo Ancelotti thinks their Group C at the 2026 World Cup is “difficult” after being paired with Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti. Morocco's been impressive, making it to the semis in 2022, so they're a tough opponent. Scotland's back at the World Cup after 28 years, and Haiti's looking to build on their 1974 experience.
Ancelotti's aware Brazil's got a challenge ahead, saying Morocco's a “very good” team. The five-time winners will need to bring their A-game to take on these opponents. Scotland's hungry for a win, and Haiti's looking to make a statement.
“Morocco were very good during the last World Cup,” Ancelotti told Brazilian television station Sportv.
“Scotland are a solid team, very solid, (it will be) pretty difficult,” the Italian added.
Brazil kicks off their tournament campaign against Morocco on June 13, followed by Haiti on June 20, and wraps up the group stage with Scotland on June 24.
“We have to prepare well and try to win the group,” Ancelotti said.
Brazil's performance hasn't been great since the last World Cup, and they've gone through three coaches already. They even lost 4-1 to Argentina in their World Cup qualifying group back in March. Now, they're gearing up for the 2026 World Cup with new coach Carlo Ancelotti, who took over in May 2025.

Brazil's Group C opponents are familiar ones - Morocco and Scotland, whom they faced in the 1998 World Cup group stage. Back then, Brazil won both matches, beating Morocco 3-0 and Scotland 2-1. They're also facing Haiti, whom they throttled 6-0 in Port-au-Prince in 2004 with stars like Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.
Here's their schedule:
- June 13: Brazil vs Morocco
- June 20: Brazil vs Haiti
- June 24: Brazil vs Scotland
