Real Madrid dropped points again, this time drawing 2-2 with Elche. Los Blancos came from behind twice, but couldn't secure the win.

Elche gave a spirited performance, with Alvaro Nunez showing fearlessness, even dribbling the ball through his own box. The home side had plenty of chances, and it looked like they might snatch a win.

Kylian Mbappé's pounce was inches away from breaking the deadlock. Raul Asencio's pass found him lurking, but his strike flew just wide.

Real Madrid kept pushing, with Andre Silva's header and Grady Diangana's attempt testing the visitors' defense. Rafa Mir had a great chance, but Thibaut Courtois was equal to his effort.

Getafe's Asencio had a chance to equalize, heading wide from Trent Alexander-Arnold's corner. Arda Guler's audacious strike was another near-miss, with the ball flying just past the post.

Elche's pressure paid off, with Dean Huijsen making a crucial recovery to stop Rafa Mir's chance. Mbappé's efforts were thwarted, first by Inaki Pena and then by Elche's goalkeeper.

The first half was end-to-end, with chances at both ends. Silva and Rodrygo had efforts blocked, and Courtois made a great save to keep Elche at bay. The goalless draw reflected the evenly matched teams.

The second half was more of the same, with Rodrygo's shot palmed wide by Pena. But Elche took the lead in the 53rd minute. Valera's clever backheel set up Aleix Febas to poke it past Courtois.

Real Madrid responded, with Xabi Alonso making a triple change. Gonzalo Garcia had a chance, but it was Jude Bellingham who headed the equalizer in the 78th minute. Dean Huijsen poked it over the line, and the game was on.

Gonzalo Garcia's effort was a cruel miss. He couldn't quite get enough on Eduardo Camavinga's ball to turn it goalward, and the chance went begging.

Elche's struggles continued, with Victor Chust getting a second yellow for pulling Mbappé's shirt. They finished the match with 10 men, and their winless streak stretches to six games.
