FC Copenhagen narrowly avoided disaster, securing a crucial win against Fredericia in a closely contested match at the Parken Stadium. Fredericia had an early opportunity to take the lead but failed to capitalize on it.

The visitors came close to scoring in the early minutes, with Emilio Simonsen spurning a chance, but FC Copenhagen took control of the game and dominated possession. Their efforts paid off in the 21st minute when Viktor Claesson scored, giving them a deserved lead. The home side continued to create scoring opportunities, with Gustav Marcussen doubling the lead from the penalty spot in the 54th minute. Despite some anxious moments, FC Copenhagen held on to secure a 3-2 win, with Claesson scoring his second goal in the 49th minute and Mohamed Elyounoussi adding a third in the 59th minute, while Youssoufa Moukoko scored a penalty for Fredericia in the 54th minute and Moses Opondo had earlier scored in the 50th minute for the visitors.

Elias Achouri's pinpoint cross into the box was met by Viktor Claesson, who showed excellent timing to get in front of goalkeeper Mattias Lamhauge. The Swede's clever finish with the outside of his foot was unstoppable, finding its way into the back of the net.

Despite being the dominant side in the first half, FC Copenhagen struggled to create clear-cut scoring opportunities. Fredericia, meanwhile, could still harbor hopes of an upset at the break, given their decent defensive display.

FC Fredericia's chances of securing a point against the favorites received a boost when Gustav Marcussen was fouled in the Copenhagen box four minutes after the break, earning a penalty. Marcussen stepped up and confidently converted the spot kick, leveling the score.

However, Fredericia's momentum was short-lived, as Moses Opono fouled Mohamed Elyounoussi just six minutes later, giving Copenhagen another penalty opportunity. Youssoufa Moukoko scored from the spot, although Fredericia goalkeeper Mattias Lamhauge made a strong effort to save the shot.

Junnosuke Suzuki appeared to seal the win for Copenhagen with a clinical finish from the edge of the area, making it 3-1 in the 78th minute. However, Fredericia refused to give up, and their persistence paid off when Oscar Buch scored a crucial goal during a counter-attack, reducing the deficit.

The Parken Stadium was filled with nervous tension as Copenhagen struggled to hold on, but they ultimately secured the win despite the late scare.
