Despite PSG's victory over Bayern in the 2025 Club World Cup, Neuer's side is riding high on an unbeaten streak, having won all 15 of their matches in all competitions so far this campaign. This impressive form has set a new record for the best-ever start in Europe's top-five leagues.
Bayern's strategy to “hurt” PSG likely involves exploiting weaknesses in the Parisian team's defense and capitalizing on scoring opportunities. With their strong attacking lineup, featuring players like Harry Kane and Luis Diaz, Bayern will look to put pressure on PSG's defense and create scoring chances.

The 39-year-old captain said his side “don't have any fear” of the French champions, adding: “We love to play against PSG and we're playing to win.”
Bayern's captain, Manuel Neuer, a two-time Champions League winner, stated that his team has a clear strategy to unsettle Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in their upcoming match. Neuer emphasized that both teams like to possess the ball and won't shy away from attacking, but he's aware of PSG's strengths and the need for solid defending.
“We are both teams that like to have the ball, that's well-known, and perhaps we don't like to defend much," he said.
“There will certainly be opportunities to counter-attack. You have to be wide awake for that, and also try to have a good defensive structure against these strong and fast opponents.
“That's exactly how we want to hurt the Parisians.”
England captain Harry Kane has been instrumental in Bayern's historic season, boasting an impressive 22 goals in the team's 15-match winning streak. Not only has Kane been prolific in front of goal, but he's also taken on a more creative role in the side, often dropping deep to contribute to build-up play.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany praises Kane's adaptability, noting that his “understanding of the role has evolved” this season. This development has clearly paid dividends, as Kane continues to be a key figure in Bayern's attacking lineup.
“It's a bit of a mix of creating the conditions for him to do what he does really well, but ensuring he is where he needs to be to score goals,” the Belgian said.
“Harry has a lot of experience and a good feeling for the game... Harry doesn't have a very different role to last year, but he's evolved in how he sees the role.”
