Etta Eyong has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in Spanish football, drawing interest from top clubs like Barcelona and Manchester City. His impressive form has sparked speculation about his future, with many wondering if he'll continue to shine in the spotlight.

Eyong's transfer to Levante this summer surprised many, given his potential and previous success with Villarreal's reserve team, where he scored 19 goals last season. Villarreal had given him a glimpse of first-team action, with Eyong scoring one goal in three LaLiga appearances. However, the club's decision to sell him seems to have backfired, as Eyong has hit the ground running with Levante.

There's an interesting dynamic to Eyong's transfer - Villarreal stands to gain financially if he continues his impressive form. The deal may have been a gamble for Levante, but it's Eyong who's benefiting from the opportunity to shine. With his goalscoring ability and potential, it's no wonder top clubs are taking notice.

Levante acquired Etta Eyong from Villarreal for 3 million euros, not 3.8 million euros, according to multiple sources. The transfer, which took place on September 1, involved Villarreal retaining a preferential option for the next season. Eyong's market value has surged to 19 million euros, as per Transfermarkt, after he scored four goals and provided one assist in five LaLiga games for Levante.

The 22-year-old Cameroonian international's impressive form has caught the attention of top clubs like Barcelona and Manchester United. Barcelona had previously considered signing him last summer but was deterred by financial constraints. They believe they can revive the deal once their salary cap allows. Eyong prefers staying in Spain and values his relationship with Barcelona, but Manchester United is also in the race, willing to offer a bigger contract.

Etta Eyong's Transfer Deal Explained

The transfer of Etta Eyong from Villarreal to Levante comes with a complex clause. If Levante receives an offer exceeding €15 million, they'll be obligated to sell and must give Villarreal 20% of the capital gain from that transfer. However, if Levante rejects the offer, they'll still have to compensate Villarreal with the same capital gain.

Villarreal retains some control over Etta Eyong's future through a right of first refusal. This means if another club makes an offer for Etta Eyong next summer, Villarreal has the option to match it and retain the player. Additionally, Etta Eyong's termination clause stands at €30 million, making him a valuable asset for Levante.
