Tottenham Hotspur's Guglielmo Vicario delivered a man-of-the-match performance, denying AS Monaco a win and securing a goalless draw in their UEFA Champions League clash. Despite dominating the game, Monaco couldn't find a way past Vicario's exceptional goalkeeping.
The draw continues Monaco's unbeaten streak against Tottenham, with two wins and a draw in their last three meetings. Following a 2-2 draw against Manchester City, Monaco parted ways with head coach Adi Hütter and appointed Sébastien Pocognoli, who was hoping to claim his first win after Monaco's 1-1 draw with Angers on the weekend. Despite the stalemate, Monaco remains optimistic about their prospects.

After a slow start, Monaco began to assert themselves, with Folarin Balogun having a close-range effort saved by Guglielmo Vicario. The game was heating up, and Monaco's attacking play was becoming more threatening.
A quick counter-attack from a Tottenham corner almost yielded the opening goal, but Ansu Fati's opportunity was squandered. Just before the 30-minute mark, Balogun had another great chance, combining well with Takumi Minamino before Vicario made a crucial save to deny the former Arsenal striker.
Spurs didn't manage their first shot on target until the 34th minute, when Mohammed Kudus drove into the box, but his weaker-footed shot was comfortably saved by Philipp Köhn.
Monaco had the most promising chance of the first half after a high press allowed them to win the ball back in Spurs' half. Mamadou Coulibaly's pass then slipped Folarin Balogun through on goal, putting him in a prime position to score.
Balogun's shot, which seemed destined for the bottom right corner, was spectacularly saved by Vicario, who used his feet to block the effort.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Monaco dominating the chances. Just five minutes after the restart, Maghnes Akliouche displayed composure in the box, creating space to shoot low at the near post, but Vicario's quick reflexes allowed him to make another crucial save.
Both teams made substitutions around the 60-minute mark, and Aleksandr Golovin nearly broke the deadlock soon after entering the game. His shot from the edge of the box was again denied by Vicario, who continued to deliver outstanding saves in the Spurs goal.
As the match drew to a close, Tottenham struggled to gain momentum, while Monaco pressed for the winner. However, Vicario remained resolute, making a stunning goal-line save on Jordan Teze's header to keep his team in the game.

In the end, neither team could find a way through, with Monaco unable to capitalize on their 20-plus shots. Despite dominating the match, Pocognoli's side was left frustrated, unable to find the breakthrough goal.
The draw extends Tottenham's unbeaten run in the Champions League to three matches (W1, D2), while Monaco remains searching for their first win after consecutive draws and a loss in Matchday 1.
