Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu's unpredictable style has teammates and opponents alike guessing. According to Damian de Allende, the key to unlocking Feinberg-Mngomezulu's brilliance lies in creating the right platform for him to thrive.

“I do try and help him on the field, chat to him and tell him where the space is. But sometimes he sees a space...”

Damian de Allende believes Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu's unpredictability is a key asset for the Springboks. The 23-year-old flyhalf's ability to produce game-changing moments is invaluable, and de Allende emphasizes the importance of laying the platform for Feinberg-Mngomezulu to flourish.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu's sensational performance against Argentina last weekend showcased his skills, scoring three tries and a record 37 points in the 67-30 win. His selection for the final Rugby Championship fixture against Argentina at Twickenham on Saturday could prove crucial in the Springboks' bid to retain the trophy. De Allende's confidence in Feinberg-Mngomezulu's abilities highlights the importance of supporting his teammate's unique talents.

“It's incredible (playing alongside Feinberg-Mngomezulu),” double World Cup winner De Allende told reporters on Wednesday. “I don't think Sacha knows what will happen next sometimes, which is a good thing.

“I do try and help him on the field, chat to him and tell him where the space is. But sometimes he sees a space before anyone else.

“And I think it's just important for, not just me, but all the guys around him to let him flourish and not take his time and space away. He can create a lot by himself.”

Springboks Backing Feinberg-Mngomezulu's Talent
Damian de Allende acknowledges that Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu's self-confidence and talent can sometimes lead to off-days. However, the Springboks are committed to supporting him, recognizing the value he brings to the team. Despite potential ups and downs, they'll continue to back Feinberg-Mngomezulu, allowing him to express himself on the field.

“We must just make sure that we're there to support him when things aren't going that well, because they're not always going to work out,” De Allende said. “But it was incredible to watch him on Saturday, he took those opportunities so well to score those tries.

“Having said that, the work we did as a team to get into those positions was incredible. And I think Sacha knows that, and we must never forget that.”

South Africa is poised to retain the Rugby Championship title with a bonus-point win over Argentina at Twickenham. Even without a bonus point, a victory would likely secure the title due to their significant points difference advantage over second-placed New Zealand.
