The visitors showed some improvement after the break but were unable to stem the tide. Pina sealed the win with her second goal late in the match, completing the 4-0 rout and leaving Sweden facing an uphill task in the second leg.
Germany edged France 1-0 in the other semi-final match, played in Duesseldorf, taking a narrow lead into the second leg. The winner of this match will contest the two-legged final on November 28 and December 2.
Sweden faces a monumental task to reach the final after being thrashed 4-0 by Spain in the first leg. They'll need a dramatic turnaround in the return leg in Gothenburg to overcome the four-goal deficit and book their spot in the final.
