Jamie Vardy came close to scoring a winning goal for Cremonese in the dying moments of the match, but ultimately, the team had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Udinese in Serie A. Filippo Terracciano's early goal was canceled out by Nicolo Zaniolo's strike in the second half.
Vardy made his full Serie A debut, starting alongside Federico Bonazzoli in attack for Cremonese. This match saw significant changes in the Cremonese lineup, with six new players following their 4-1 loss to Inter. Meanwhile, Udinese also made notable changes, including giving Vakoun Bayo a start instead of Keinan Davis.
Cremonese took the lead against Udinese in just under four minutes, with Jari Vandeputte delivering a precise free-kick that Milan loanee Luca Terracciano headed home. This marked Terracciano's second goal of the season.
Vandeputte's influence continued to shape the game, as he thwarted an Udinese counter-attack with a brilliant sliding tackle. He quickly transitioned to offense, initiating an attack down the left flank and delivering a cross that Federico Bonazzoli volleyed onto the crossbar.
