The win puts Manchester City in a strong position in the Champions League group-stage rankings. Guardiola expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, saying they've been creating good chances and delivering strong performances. He added that he's pleased with the team's progress, stating, "I have the feeling things are coming back to what we were in the past.”
When asked about Stones’ calm and elegant display, Pep commented: “Really good. Top. He can play his position, is so smart and helps us.
“Really good and really pleased for the game from John. (The year we won the Treble) He had an exceptional season and was an important player there.
“I’m pleased Erling scored again and pleased Bernardo scored an incredible header,” he continued.
“Bernardo is like Mahrez and Messi - so small but really good with head contact.
“If you analyse the first half and some moments in the second, we created some good chances.
