Luke Littler wins World Grand Prix title

Luke Littler makes history with dominant 6-1 win over Luke Humphries to claim his first World Grand Prix title.

“I'm very happy to have that one ticked off....”

The 18-year-old phenom dominated the match, racing to a 3-0 lead in just over 30 minutes and never looking back, despite Humphries' impressive three-dart average.

Littler bounced back from last year's first-round exit with a ruthless win. He sealed the fourth set convincingly but faced a late fightback from Humphries in the deciding fifth leg. However, Littler's composure proved decisive as he took two of the next three sets to secure a crushing victory.

The win marked Littler's seventh major PDC title, showcasing his exceptional skill and dominance in the sport. Despite Humphries' efforts, Littler's class and experience ultimately paid off, cementing his position as a top contender.

“I'm very happy to have that one ticked off,” Littler told Sky Sports after lifting the World Grand Prix title. “It's not the easiest tournament to win -- this week has been so tough. Now I've picked the trophy up, that's another one done; there aren't many left.

“It's certainly not a lot of prize money (£120,000), especially for what we guys play for. Luke will know I'm on his back now -- I'm onto him,” he said of Humphries.
