The 36-year-old Inter Miami player revealed his decision on social media, stating that he will conclude his illustrious career after the MLS playoffs.
Alba's football journey began at La Masia, Barcelona's famed youth academy, where he was initially released for being deemed too small. However, he proved his worth when Barcelona re-signed him from Valencia in 2012 for €14 million. During his 11-year tenure at Barcelona, Alba won numerous titles, including six La Liga championships, five Copa del Rey trophies, and the UEFA Champions League in 2015.
