Anel Ahmedhodzic's mistake proved costly as he was outmuscles by Saibari, allowing the Moroccan midfielder to seize the opportunity and chip the ball over Kovar, doubling PSV's lead after 60 minutes.
Feyenoord narrowed the deficit again when Oussama Targhalline tapped in an easy goal, making the score 3-2 and setting up a tense final 15 minutes. However, their quest for an equalizer was thwarted when Luciano Valente shockingly shot wide from a near-open goal. Despite a late push, Feyenoord couldn't change the outcome, securing a crucial win for PSV. The victory saw the reigning champions join Feyenoord atop the league with 25 points, though PSV sit behind on goal difference.
