Feyenoord secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie, denying the visitors a point in Rotterdam. Ayase Ueda stole the show with a brace, proving instrumental in Feyenoord's win.

Just days after a disappointing 2-0 home defeat against Aston Villa, Feyenoord manager Robin van Persie changed two names in his starting lineup with Eredivisie Player of the Month Jordan Bos and Oussama Targhalline replacing Gijs Smal and Hwang-In Beom against FC Utrecht.

Meanwhile, FC Utrecht lost their second-straight Europa League game away at Norwegian outfit SK Brann and were hoping to rebound in the Eredivisie, where they'd failed to win their last three games.

FC Utrecht dominated possession in the second half, repeatedly threatening Feyenoord's goal. Adrian Blake forced Timon Wellenreuther to make a spectacular save, while Sebastien Haller had a chance to score after Alonzo Engwanda's interception, but he couldn't control the ball sufficiently.

The visitors eventually found the equalizer when Derry John Murkin led a long rush from his own half, getting the ball back on the edge of the box and beating Wellenreuther with a powerful shot into the short corner. Feyenoord responded by bringing on Cyle Larin, who played a key role in Ayase Ueda's brace. Ueda sealed the win with a nifty finish over Vasilios Barkas in the 87th minute, following a fine team move involving Larin and Luciano Valente.
