England manager Thomas Tuchel has announced his squad for the upcoming matches against Wales and Latvia, and to everyone's surprise, star players Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden are not part of it. Bellingham's exclusion might be attributed to his recent injury and lack of match fitness after returning to action with Real Madrid. Despite being named England's player of the year for the 2024-25 season, Bellingham hasn't played a full match since his return, which likely contributed to Tuchel's decision.

Phil Foden's omission, on the other hand, comes after a string of impressive performances for Manchester City, where he's scored two goals and provided two assists in the current season. Jack Grealish, who has found his form on loan at Everton, is also left out of the squad. Tuchel emphasized that there are “no problems” with these players and described them as “special players” who deserve consideration. He cited the strong competition for places in the squad as the reason for their exclusion.

England's Squad for Upcoming Matches:

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), James Trafford (Manchester City)

Defenders, Midfielders, and Forwards: Tuchel's squad includes players like Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford, and Harry Kane, who will face Wales and Latvia in the upcoming matches. The manager's decision to stick with a largely unchanged squad was driven by the team's recent performance and the desire to create habits out of success.

Two notable Premier League players left out of the squad are Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton and Everton's Jack Harrison wasn't mentioned but rather Jack Grealish however Jack Grealish plays for Aston Villa. Both Wharton and Aston Villa's Jack Grealish have had impressive starts to the season. Meanwhile, Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, who missed the previous international break due to injury, could potentially earn a spot in the lineup upon his return.

Thomas Tuchel's squad for England's upcoming matches features a mix of experienced players and rising talents. Jarell Quansah from Bayer Leverkusen and Ruben Loftus-Cheek from AC Milan have been included, alongside established stars like Harry Kane, John Stones, Jordan Pickford, and Declan Rice.

Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson will remain with the group, alongside Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins. England's fixtures include a friendly against Wales on October 9, followed by a World Cup qualifier against Latvia on October 14.
