“It’s an honour, but I’m not done yet, I’m going to keep on going and hopefully keep the record going.”

Born in Lagos to Nigerian parents, Alex Iwobi began his football journey at Arsenal, impressing in the youth ranks before earning a promotion to the senior squad under Arsene Wenger.

He made his first-team debut on October 27, 2015, starting in a League Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday. Just four days later, Iwobi made his Premier League debut, coming on as a substitute for Mesut Ozil in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Swansea at the Emirates Stadium.

Alex Iwobi spent four seasons at Arsenal, where he achieved notable success, including two FA Community Shield titles and an FA Cup win. He was also recognized as the 2016 CAF Youth Player of the Year.

In August 2019, Iwobi joined Everton on a five-year deal, marking a new chapter in his career. Two notable moves later, he joined Fulham in 2023 for an undisclosed fee, bringing his talents to Craven Cottage, where he's continued to break records.
