The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11th to July 19th, 2026. The qualifying phases are currently still underway in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America, and the last two participants will be determined via the inter-confederational play-off tournament in March 2026.
Tournament Format
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature a new format, with 12 groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, along with the eight best third-placed teams.

The group stage matches and knockout stage schedule have been released. The tournament will kick off on June 11, 2026, and conclude on July 19, 2026.
