Week 2 Super Lig Recap: Galatasaray, Besiktas, and Trabzonspor Results

Galatasaray kicked off their season with a convincing 3-0 win over newly-promoted Karagumruk, despite not showcasing their best form. The goal was crucial for Besiktas, especially with the spotlight on head coach Ola Gunnar Solskjaer following a disappointing end to last season and a humiliating loss to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Europa League qualifier. A poor result would have put him under immediate pressure.

Meanwhile, Trabzonspor continued their winning streak with a narrow 1-0 victory over Kasimpasa, marking their second consecutive win.

Trabzonspor's 1-0 win, much like their opener, was far from impressive. The team showed a lack of quality and cohesion in the final third, leaving coach Fatih Tekke room for concern and opportunities to work on improving the team's performance.
