Monaco kicked off their Ligue 1 campaign with a convincing 3-1 win over Le Havre AC at Stade Louis II. This victory extends their unbeaten home record in Ligue 1 to nine games, showcasing the team's dominance on their home turf.
The match got off to a lively start, with Takumi Minamino posing an early threat to the goal. He unleashed a low drive that tested the fingertips of goalkeeper Mory Diaw.
The opener arrived midway through the first half, courtesy of a clever move. Aleksandr Golovin found space on the right flank and seemed to be attempting a cross into the box. However, Gautier Lloris's desperate block attempt inadvertently diverted the ball into the far corner of the net, catching the goalkeeper off guard.
Monaco maintained their dominance heading into the break, narrowly missing out on a two-goal lead. Maghnes Akliouche's impressive volley hit the post in first-half stoppage time, denying the hosts an opportunity to extend their advantage.

The hosts continued to dictate the pace after the break and eventually doubled their lead on the hour mark. Lamine Camara delivered a dangerous inswinging corner that Eric Dier headed towards goal. Although goalkeeper Mory Diaw managed to get both hands on the ball, he couldn't prevent it from trickling over the line, securing Monaco's second goal.
Just as Le Havre's hopes seemed to be dwindling, they staged a comeback in the 67th minute. Rassoul Ndiaye broke down the left flank, cut inside, and unleashed a powerful, driven shot into the far corner, giving his team a glimmer of hope.
Monaco's momentum continued unabated as Denis Zakaria made a fantastic run down the field, expertly squaring the ball to Maghnes Akliouche, who calmly tapped it in to seal a 3-1 victory with just 16 minutes remaining.
