Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham played out a 1-1 draw in the Premier League, with Rodrigo Muniz scoring a stoppage-time equalizer for the visitors.

The Premier League match between Brighton and Hove Albion and Fulham ended in a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium.

Despite a lackluster first half, Brighton & Hove Albion continued to press forward, with Georginio Rutter testing Bernd Leno with a long-range shot. Mats Wieffer's header was also notable, but Leno held firm. Fulham's best chance of the half fell to Harry Wilson, who headed wide from close range, and the scoreline remained deadlock at the break.

The Seagulls carried their momentum into the second half and were rewarded when Rutter's run into the box was fouled by Sander Berge, earning a penalty. Matt O'Riley stepped up and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner, scoring his fifth penalty in six attempts. The goal marked a milestone for Fulham, as it was the 1000th Premier League goal they had conceded.

As Fulham pushed forward in search of an equalizer, Brighton exploited the space left behind and created a promising counter-attack. Yankuba Minteh had a golden opportunity to double the lead but lashed his shot over the bar from a good position. The Seagulls came close to scoring again when Diego Gomez's strike spun past Leno's post, but the German goalkeeper made a crucial save to prevent the ball from crossing the line.

In dramatic fashion, Fulham snatched a late equalizer in stoppage time. Rodrigo Muniz scored the goal, tapping in from close range after the ball fell to him at the back post from a corner kick. This late goal earned Fulham a 1-1 draw, denying Brighton their fourth consecutive Premier League opening-day victory. Despite dominating large parts of the game, Brighton were unable to hold onto their lead.
