Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh: Full Schedule and Venues Announced


Sri Lanka will host Bangladesh for a bilateral cricket series featuring two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is, starting June 17.



Sri Lanka is set to host Bangladesh in a thrilling multi-format series, scheduled to take place from June 17 to July 16. The series will feature two Test matches, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), promising a month-long extravaganza of cricket action.


Series Schedule

The series will kick off with two Test matches:

  • 1st Test: June 17-21 at Galle International Cricket Stadium, Galle
  • 2nd Test: June 25-29 at Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo

The ODIs will be played at:

  • 1st ODI: July 2 – R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo
  • 2nd ODI: July 5 – R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo
  • 3rd ODI: July 8 – Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele

The T20I series will feature matches at:
  • 1st T20I: July 10 – Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele
  • 2nd T20I: July 13 – Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium, Dambulla
  • 3rd T20I: July 16 – R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo


Sri Lanka's Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Perera, and Wanindu Hasaranga are expected to play pivotal roles. Bangladesh will rely on the experience of Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Shakib Al Hasan to lead the charge against their opponents.


The Bangladesh tour of Sri Lanka will feature three ODI matches, with the first two taking place at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on July 2 and 5 as day-night games. The third ODI will be held at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele on July 8, also as a day-night match. Following the ODI series, the T20I series will kick off on July 10 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, followed by a match in Dambulla on July 13, and the final T20I at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on July 16, all played under lights.



Bangladesh's last visit to Sri Lanka for a Test series was in April 2021, where they played two matches, losing one and drawing the other. Prior to that, their ODI series in Sri Lanka was in July 2019, which they lost 0-3. However, they had a successful T20 series in March 2018, winning both matches against Sri Lanka.
