The Edmonton Oilers advanced to the Western Conference Final with a 1-0 overtime win over the Vegas Golden Knights, winning the series 4-1.

The Florida Panthers dominated the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-1 in Game 5, taking a 3-2 series lead. The Panthers' third consecutive win showcased their ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities.

In a separate matchup, the Edmonton Oilers edged the Vegas Golden Knights to advance to the Western Conference Final. The Oilers' narrow victory marked another intense playoff series.

The Florida Panthers took an early lead, with Aaron Ekblad scoring 14:36 into the first period. Sam Reinhart's pass set up Ekblad's shot into the top corner. The Panthers dominated the period, outshooting the Maple Leafs 13-4.

Florida extended its lead in the second period, scoring three goals. Dmitry Kulikov scored six minutes in, beating Joseph Woll with a powerful shot, after Nate Schmidt found him alone.

The Toronto Maple Leafs' struggles continued as Florida scored two more goals in the second period. Gustav Forsling intercepted a pass and found Sam Reinhart, who assisted Jesper Boqvist's goal, making it 3-0.

Just a few minutes later, Niko Mikkola scored Florida's fourth goal after Anton Lundell stole the puck in the Toronto zone and set up the scoring opportunity. Mikkola's low shot beat Joseph Woll.

The Florida Panthers outshot the Toronto Maple Leafs 50-44, but it was the Panthers who capitalized on their chances. A.J. Greer sealed the win with an empty-net goal, making it 5-0.

Sam Bennett added an insurance goal late in the game, scoring just after a face-off to make the final score 6-1. Bennett's shot beat Matt Murray after Toronto pulled Joseph Woll from the net.

The Toronto Maple Leafs finally scored in what could be their last home game of the season, thanks to Nick Robertson's impressive spin move that led to a shot beating Sergei Bobrovsky. This goal denied Bobrovsky a second consecutive shutout and prevented the Panthers from shutting out the Leafs entirely.

The Florida Panthers now lead the series 3-2, taking this crucial advantage back to Florida for Game 6 on Friday. The Leafs face an elimination game, where they'll need to win to force a deciding Game 7 back home next week.
