Panthers Defeat Lightning 6-3

The Panthers continued to build on their lead with goals from Sam Bennett, Aleksander Barkov, Eetu Luostarinen, and Sam Reinhart, securing a 6-3 victory. Sergei Bobrovsky made 26 saves for the Panthers, helping his team close out the series 4-1.
The Lightning quickly responded to the Panthers' comeback, with Nick Paul tying the game at 7:44 of the first period. However, Aleksandar Barkov put Florida back in the lead just 52 seconds into the second period. Jake Guentzel later tied the game again, but Tampa's chances were dashed when Sam Bennett scored with less than five minutes remaining in the second period.
The Panthers sealed the win in the third period with goals from Eetu Luostarinen and Sam Reinhart, eliminating the Lightning and advancing to the second round with a 4-1 series victory. The Panthers will next face the winner of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators series, with the Leafs currently leading 3-2.
Capitals Defeat Canadiens 4-1
The Washington Capitals dominated the Montreal Canadiens, winning 4-1 at home to seal the series 4-1. Alex Ovechkin opened the scoring after 9:12, and Jakob Chychrun doubled the lead shortly after. Tom Wilson added a third goal in the second period on a power play.
Logan Thompson made 28 saves for the Capitals, securing the win. Emil Heineman scored the lone goal for the Canadiens in the third period, but it was too little, too late. The Capitals' victory advances them to the next round, where they'll face the Carolina Hurricanes.

Emil Heineman scored early in the third period, reducing the deficit to 3-1 for the Montreal Canadiens. However, the team couldn't get any closer, and the Washington Capitals sealed the win with Brandon Duhaime's empty-net goal, making the final score 4-1.
The Capitals' 4-1 series victory advances them to the next round, where they'll face the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes had eliminated the New Jersey Devils in five games the night before, setting up their matchup with the Capitals.
Jets Take 3-2 Series Lead
The Winnipeg Jets took a 3-2 series lead over the St. Louis Blues with a 5-3 win on home ice. Kyle Connor opened the scoring for the Jets early in the game, but Nathan Walker responded for the Blues, tying the score.

The Jets regained the lead and went on to win 5-3, with the victory putting them one game away from advancing in the series. The Jets will look to close out the series in Game 6 in St. Louis.
The Jets and Blues traded goals before Winnipeg pulled ahead with three unanswered goals from Dylan DeMelo, Vladislav Namestnikov, and Adam Lowry, taking a 5-2 lead. Nathan Walker scored late in the third period for the Blues, but it didn't change the outcome.
The series now shifts back to St. Louis, where the Blues will try to force a Game 7 on Saturday. The Jets are one win away from advancing.
