Inter Miami announces Jordi Alba's two-year contract extension, keeping the former Spain international with the club until 2027. Read more about the deal.

Jordi Alba, the 36-year-old former Spain international, has signed a two-year contract extension with Inter Miami, keeping him with the club until the end of the 2027 Major League Soccer season. Alba joined Inter Miami in July 2023 after spending 11 successful years with Barcelona, where he won numerous titles including six LaLiga titles and a UEFA Champions League trophy.

As a key figure in Inter Miami's success, Alba brings extensive experience and skill to the team. He has been instrumental in the club's performance since his arrival, playing alongside notable teammates like Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets. Alba's contract extension ensures his continued involvement with the team as they prepare for the 2025 season under new head coach Javier Mascherano.

“I'm happy to renew my contract because I have the desire to continue competing,” Alba said in a statement.

“I've been very comfortable these past two years at the club, and I feel very loved by all the fans,” he added.

“We have that desire to continue competing, to continue winning, and, hopefully, win as many titles as possible.”

Jordi Alba played a key role in Inter Miami's success last season, helping the team win the Supporters Shield and set a single-season points record. In Miami, he's reunited with former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Luis Suarez, and now works under the management of another former Barca teammate, Javier Mascherano.
